We are Eclectic Sounds / aka: eclsounds – a store front in Portland, Or. We are open 7 days a week from 11 – 5 PST (by appointment)
A beautiful instrument in excellent condition with light wear and no discernible fret wear. There are two tiny dings on the top of the headstock.
Pictures tell the story of this one. OHSC Flight case still has plastic on the handle.
( Due to people taking advantage of eBay / Reverb return policies; wanting to “try out and/or pilfer parts” we can no longer take returns on used gear unless it arrives damaged. Sorry for this inconvenience. We test and guarantee all gear to be 100% working unless stated otherwise )

The Eastman T145 SM is the ideal club jazz guitar; Small comfortable body: fully carved top and back with plenty of acoustic volume yet small enough internal displacement to make it useable on stage without the troublesome feedback issues associated with full body archtops.
We see this guitar as the ideal studio, rehearsal and live stage Jazz guitar in the league of the Benedetto Bambino Deluxe…but at a fraction of the price.
The slim-line 1 ¾ deep sided body ( 2 ¾” deep at the bridge) and 15″ lower boute reminds me of my first love in Jazz guitars: the Ibanez George Benson guitar.
Fully carved Spruce top with fully carved Mahogany back and sides, finished in Nitrocellulose lacquer with a simple, elegant violin stain finish. Ebony appointments include Ebony Bridge, tailpiece, pickguard and fretboard.
The Eastman Humbucker pickup is top mounted for maximum volume without feedback issues and more true body resonance through the pickup. This Eastman proprietary pickup is Kent Armstrong designed and has a great track record as a jazz guitar pickup.
The T 145 comes factory strung with 12-52 D’Addario Nickel strings. For players looking to use this guitar for a variety of music genres besides strictly Jazz we recommend staying with these brighter sounding round-wound strings. With these brighter strings, you can easily roll off treble at the tone control to get a fat jazz tone but enough clarity will remain for Blues, R & B or Rock-a-Billy players.
For Jazz purists, we include in the purchase price, for no extra cost, a restring and setup with the .012 – .050 George Benson gauge of Thomastic Flatwounds for the typical classic dark and mellow 50s / 60s Jazz guitar tone. Thomastic strings have a wonderful rubbery and flexible feel and make lovely strings for home players.
Or, if desired we would setup with D’Addario Chrome Wound strings for a slightly brighter, crisper so-called “modern” flatwound tone.
