We are Eclectic Sounds / aka: eclsounds – a store front in Portland, Or. We are open 7 days a week from 11 – 5 PST (by appointment)
Early Ecstasy 101 was modded by Mark Cameron in the brief time that he was working at Bogner around 2004-2005.
He supposedly did a handful of these and Reinhold wasn’t pleased.
The mods made the amp more stylized and smooth overall. An enhanced and improved Ecstasy!
Listing of Mark Cameron mods done:
1. changed the voicing on the PRESENCE control (not as ice pick sounding as it was).
2. changed the voicing on the clean GREEN channel (it’s more 3 dimensional and has more of a glassy sound).
3. added gain to the RED Channel and voiced it to sound more like the older 100B (you certainly have a lot of gain if you need it).
4. voiced the BLUE channel to sound a little more like the older 100B.
(no holes were drilled for any of the mods…he did change the volume pot on the clean channel as part of the mod).
We’ve had a few white chassis’ and early XTC’s into the shop and this one is the best of the bunch in our opinion.
This head has been babied and not taken out for gigs. In Mint condition overall with the foot switch.
This is the 6L6 version.
( Due to people taking advantage of eBay / Reverb return policies; wanting to “try out and/or pilfer parts” we can no longer take returns on used gear unless it arrives damaged. Sorry for this inconvenience. We test and guarantee all gear to be 100% working unless stated otherwise )
