1997 marks the introduction of the Multiac Nylon ACS SA (Acoustic Synth, Synth Access) …. designed for higher stage volume without feedback, because of the thick maple top design.

This is a first-year ACS SA – thick two-piece solid maple top (face); three-piece maple body. You can see the dividing lines, separate pieces of maple. Later came some one-piece solid ACS tops, maple or cedar.
