Recorded for the Binghamton (NY) Sertoma Club just 16 days before Slam Stewart died. An accomplished, well-known jazz bassist of the ’30s-’50s, Slam was half of Slim and Slam with Slim Gaillard. Major Holley was brought in to complete some tracks after Stewart’s death.
