This Strat is in very good condition.
Weight: 7.9 lbs.
There is some play wear on the edges of the fretboard. Frets are about 75% – 85%.
A beloved series of Stratocasters throughout the late 80s into the 1990s – this is a 1997 Strat Plus in a gloss natural finish over an ash body. This Plus is loaded with three Lace Sensor Gold pikcups – designed for a crisp ’50s-Strat tone but sans 60 cycle hum. The guitar has locking tuners and a 2-point tremolo for reliable intonation and performance.
The 2nd tone features the Tone 2 TBX. This is a factory mod and came stock with the Strat Plus.
Fender.com describes their TBX tone control—which stands for “Treble Bass Expander”—as follows:
“This detented, stacked 250k/1 Meg control enhances your tonal palette without the use of a battery. From 0 to 5, the TBX is your standard tone control, but once you pass 5 you start to decrease the resistance, which allows more bass, treble, presence and output to flow to your amp.”
The guitar has a Hipshot Tremsetter installed. This is an aftermarket upgrade.
Tremolo stabilizer!
Returns a tremolo to an exact position every time.
For use with full-floating tremolos, the Hipshot™ Tremsetter automatically returns a tremolo to an exact position every time! The guitar will stay in tune better, and tuning is quicker and more accurate, because the bridge won’t move due to changes in string tension. Other benefits include eliminating tremolo warble and open strings won’t go flat during string bends.
Now you can palm-mute strings, play aggressive rhythm parts, string bends and double-stops, and the bridge and tuning will remain stable.
The case that comes with the guitar is not the original molded hard case. This is a Fender branded G&G hard case.
( Due to people taking advantage of eBay / Reverb return policies; wanting to “try out and/or pilfer parts” we can no longer take returns on used gear unless it arrives damaged. Sorry for this inconvenience. We test and guarantee all gear to be 100% working unless stated otherwise )
